NAB 2025: EVS Previews Integrated Solutions at the Heart of Live Production
EVS (Booth SL 3316) is rolling into Las Vegas with a truckload of solutions and services that attendees can learn more about on the show floor.
MediaInfra
EVS continues to support broadcasters in their transition to IP, offering proven, flexible, and efficient media infrastructure solutions.
EVS’s trusted media processing platform Neuron, has played a key role in some of the most high-profile live productions of 2024, reinforcing its reliability for demanding environments. As the most feature-rich and highest-density IP gateway and conversion solution available, Neuron ensures smooth interoperability across hybrid and fully IP-based infrastructures.
Among the latest enhancements, Neuron’s Bridge and Convert identities provide a significant increase in IP-stream capacity and improved redundancy for long-haul inputs, while still offering extra features such as color correction and UHD gearboxing on all channels. All of this without impacting the very low power consumption of Neuron.
Designed specifically to meet the needs of live production, Neuron View, the ultra-low latency and power efficient multiviewer, features an improved web-based multiview editor, allowing users to easily modify their layouts on the fly and in real time.
As for Cerebrum, EVS’s industry-leading broadcast control and monitoring system, it incorporates native Software-Defined Networking (SDN) capabilities, enabling efficient monitoring, control, and policy management of IP infrastructures. The latest update also introduces a more advanced distributed client-server architecture, supporting distributed hosting of control panels and web clients, as well as single sign-on (SSO) and Reverse Proxy functionalities. These improvements ensure a higher level of security and operational efficiency, especially for remote production workflows.
As part of its MediaInfra offering, EVS will also showcase Strada, a complete routing system designed for hybrid environments, that enables users that are heavily invested in SDI to transition to IP at their own pace, all while ensuring full interoperability between SDI and IP systems.
LiveCeption
EVS sets the benchmark in live production through continuous innovation, empowering broadcasters to captivate audiences with premium content.
With version 3.0 released earlier this year, XtraMotion has evolved into a full suite of Gen-AI-assisted replay effects. Beyond super slow-motion through frame interpolation, it now also offers the Deblur effect for creating sharper images during camera movements, and a Cinematic effect for simulated shallow depth of field.
This year, the industry-leading LSM-VIA replay system introduces a new Zoom feature, allowing operators to zoom into key actions quickly and with EVS precision. This feature is ideal for game analysis with multiple regions of interest or for replay sequences with focus on moving objects and cameras.
Among other key updates, EVS’s XT-VIA live production server offers greater flexibility with On-Demand licensing, allowing productions to expand functionalities or add channels as needed. This will be available via the EVS e-shop presented at the LiveCeption demo station at NAB.
MediaCeption
At the heart of MediaCeption, EVS’s media asset platform VIA MAP has been enhanced with new functionalities tailored for end-to-end news production.
EVS will showcase a story-centric integration between VIA MAP and Cuez Storiez by TinkerList, along with other leading 3rd party newsroom computer systems (NRCS) for faster news production and streamlined multiplatform publishing.
In addition, a new application within VIA MAP will highlight how EVS leverages AI to streamline content distribution, helping broadcasters and media companies maximize the value of their assets in an increasingly complex distribution landscape.
And for the first time, EVS will present two new products born from its acquisition of MOG Technologies, demonstrating how this combined expertise enhances content management and drives innovation within the MediaCeption solution family:
EVS Move I/O is a versatile ingest and playback system for broadcast centers producing news and entertainment, that smoothly connects with post-production environments. It offers flexible configurations in both SDI and compressed IP formats (SRT, NDI, and RTMP among others) and ensures full interoperability with Avid’s post-production ecosystem.
In addition, the new scalable transcoding engine Move UP meets the demands of broadcast, film, web, and post-production by enabling efficient ingest of video files from camera cards (including smart phones), digital archives, and shared folders or cloud-based storage such as AWS S3, all while preserving essential metadata. With seamless conversion across various formats, codecs, and containers, Move UP enhances flexibility and efficiency throughout production workflows.
PowerVision
PowerVision delivers tools designed to provide reliable and precise insights, ensuring fairness and performance optimization across many sports.
Xeebra 3.3, introduces enhanced capabilities, increasing channel density to support up to 16 input channels. It seamlessly integrates with NDI, SRT, and SMPTE 2110 workflows, offering greater flexibility and interoperability for live production environments. The latest version also features an improved user interface combined with AI tailored for Virtual Offside Line (VOL) applications, ensuring a smoother and more intuitive experience for referees and analysts.
Finally, EVS will show Xeebra Insight, a multi-angle review application designed for deployment on laptops or tablets. This versatile tool provides supporting officials, coaching staff, and medical teams with the ability to analyze crucial game moments from multiple angles, improving decision-making, game strategy, and player safety.
Stadium & venue production
A dedicated area on the EVS booth will highlight how our live production ecosystem enhances in-venue entertainment, delivering high-quality, engaging experiences for fans.
Central to this demo area, EVS will unveil a new dedicated replay server tailored for stadiums and universities across North America, delivering robustness and a rich feature set to meet their unique production needs.
Visitors can explore its seamless integration with products like Neuron View for advanced multiviewing, Cerebrum for broadcast control, and IPDirector for content and data management—ensuring a fully connected, efficient workflow for dynamic live productions.
