NAB 2025: Cerberus Tech Livelink IP Video Delivery Platform Expands Control to Edge Devices With New Gateway Agent
Cerberus Tech (Booth W2425) has introduced gateway agent functionality within its Livelink cloud-native provisioning, orchestration, and automation platform for live video processing and transport.
This enhancement extends real-time visibility and control to edge encoding, decoding, and transmission devices, bridging the gap between cloud-based orchestration and on-premises operations to enable comprehensive control and monitoring from a single pane of glass.
“While remote, cloud-enabled video delivery workflows can provide real-time data — and monitoring and alerting — on live streams from ingest to egress, the inability to monitor or control edge devices has been a significant barrier to efficiency,” says Chris Clarke, CRO and co-founder at Cerberus Tech. “The new gateway agent within Livelink overcomes that obstacle. By deploying this lightweight, agnostic, security-conscious agent on edge devices, users gain centralized control over critical transmission infrastructure, reducing the need for on-site intervention and optimizing their live video delivery workflows.”
Available in both self-service and managed service models, the Cerberus Tech Livelink platform combines a protocol-agnostic multicloud-compatible infrastructure with low-latency reach to simplify IP workflows and enable scalable content delivery for occasional use or 24/7 distributions. Whether installed directly onto a device or used to “talk” to any device — hardware- or software-based — Livelink’s new gateway agent enables secure remote management of any on-premises system. Integrating seamlessly with existing workflows, the gateway agent establishes expansive device control within the platform’s convenient web-based UI and simplifies tasks such as configuring devices, adjusting bit rates, and retrieving logs.
Security is embedded at every level, with encrypted JWT-secured API interactions, strict credential management, and a custom firewall model that allows users to define IP whitelists and lock down access. The gateway agent itself does not store sensitive data; authentication keys and configurations are transmitted securely only when the device is active, and compromised devices can be disabled instantly.
“With this latest enhancement, Livelink consolidates control of both cloud-based and on-premises workflows within a single interface,” adds Clarke. “Whether users are managing live event transmissions or 24/7 broadcast operations, the Livelink gateway agent allows them to accelerate video delivery and reduce operational overhead.”
