SVG’s Regional Sports Production Summit headed to Denver on June 26-27, 2024 bringing RSN and local-sports-media leaders together to share ideas, learn from one another, and discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead for this rapidly changing sector of the industry. This annual event, which was held at the Grand Hyatt in the heart of Downtown Denver, provided a gathering place for regional-sports leaders and content creators to address the pertinent issues facing their sector as the business undergoes seismic change on multiple fronts. More than 250 RSN and local-sports-media leaders attended the event covering the latest developments in live-production workflows, DTC and authenticated streaming, sports betting and alternate telecasts, 4K HDR and other next-gen technologies, labor and crewing, league and team relationships, and what the future holds for the regional sports media rights.

When the RSN contract expired for the Utah Jazz following the 2022-23 NBA season, Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) introduced a new sports media division, SEG Media, to create a unique broadcast content production and distribution strategy for the team. The approach removed prior barriers for fans to access content, created even more insider content to bring fans closer to the team than ever before, and gave SEG Media full autonomy of its content distribution through a comprehensive, three-pronged strategy (over the air TV, Jazz+ streaming service, a broader broadcast fooprint beyond Utah). During this session, Utah Jazz leaders take the stage to discuss how their existing broadcast operation and infrastructure paved the way for a successful first season and what’s next for SEG Media as Utah’s sports footprint expands.

Ryan Billie just completed his fifth season as the game producer for the Washington Capitals broadcasts on Monumental Sports Network and is currently in his second season as a Washington Mystics game producer. Prior to his current role, Billie was the pregame/postgame producer for the network’s Washington Capitals broadcasts for five seasons.
Billie started with the Washington, D.C. RSN when it was called CSN Washington in 2010, producing various daily studio shows, as well as long-form features and documentaries.
Before joining CSN Washington, Billie began his career in 1999 at ABC Sports as member of their college football and Indy Racing League production teams. He has also worked for ESPN; was the graphics producer on the NFL Network’s first four seasons of Thursday Night Football; and spent two seasons working on NBC’s Sunday Night Football package.
A six-time Emmy Award-winner, Billie is a graduate of Fordham University.
Jared Boshnack, YES Network, VP, Production

Jared Boshnack is the 30-time Emmy Award-winning vice president of production for the YES Network. He oversees all of YES’ production efforts in coordination with the network’s president of production & programming John J. Filippelli, and plays a lead role in programming development, as well.
The YES Network, the most-watched regional sports network in the country 18 of the last 21 years, is the exclusive regional television home of the 27-time World Champion New York Yankees, the Brooklyn Nets, and New York Liberty. The network has won 146 New York Emmy Awards since its 2002 launch.
Boshnack joined YES as graphics coordinator on its March 19, 2002 launch date. In 2012, he was named coordinating producer, studio, overseeing all studio programming as well as graphics, research, editors, and features. Boshnack was promoted to coordinating producer in 2017 and to senior coordinating producer the next year. He was promoted to his current role in January 2022.
Throughout his YES career, Boshnack has tackled all aspects of production, picking up 30 New York Emmy Awards and two Promax/BDA awards along the way. In 2005 and again in 2022, he oversaw the creation and launch of Emmy Award-winning graphics packages for YES that helped visually define and brand the network.
He has produced YES’ innovative Yankees pre- and post-game shows, Yankees Batting Practice Today, Yankees Hot Stove, The Joe Girardi Show, This Week In Football, and programming specials such as press conferences and season previews.
Boshnack has also been the YES production department’s point person in working with the company’s digital media team, coordinating production and promotion efforts. This includes YES’ Facebook Live telecasts of its Yankees and Nets pre-game show production meetings which launched in 2016 and which Boshnack originally hosted.
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic’s shutting down live sports in 2020, Boshnack headed all of YES’ critically acclaimed programming, including its YES We’re Here and Yankees Summer Camp original series.
Before arriving at YES, Boshnack was production assistant, graphics coordinator, feature producer, and field producer for live events (Wide World of Sports, Indy Racing League, NFL, figure skating, and college football) at various times at ABC Sports, where he won one National Emmy Award. Prior to ABC Sports, he was a broadcast operations ssistant at CBS Sports.
He is a 1998 graduate of Queens College. Boshnack and his wife Amy have two children, Riley and Trevor.
Kendall Burgess, MLB, VP of Operations, Local Media

Kendall Burgess joined Major League Baseball as vice president of operations, local media in March of 2023. In this role she is responsible for the technical and operational details of all live MLB regional broadcasts. Prior to joining MLB, Burgess was the vice president of technical operations for Bally Sports where she worked closely with production and engineering management to provide direction for 19 regional networks across the country. With over 25 years of experience working in sports television across all professional leagues and multiple college conferences, Burgess started her career as an intern for FOX Sports while she was a journalism student at The University of Georgia.
Allen Broome, MediaKind, CEO

Allen Broome, CEO of MediaKind, is a visionary leader with a unique blend of technical acumen, industry knowledge, and progressive leadership. Having served as MediaKind’s chief technology officer, he deeply understands technical infrastructure and product development, allowing him to align leading innovation to maximize MediaKind’s business objectives.

Brandon Costa, SVG, Director of Digital

Brandon Costa covers the sports video production industry with a focus on live streaming, over-the-top (OTT), social media, and other digital distribution technologies and platforms. He also directs SVG’s internal digital strategies launching the company’s video outfit, ‘SVG On Demand,’ designing and overseeing its mobile application, ‘SVG Mobile,’ and serving as executive producer and host of The SVG Podcast. Costa serves as program director of networking events serving the SVG College and SVG Digital communities. Prior to his time at SVG, Costa spent five years producing digital content for MLB Advanced Media.
Patrick Crakes, Crakes Media, Principal

Patrick Crakes has served in various senior executive media roles during the course of his career including several at FOX Sports. During the last six years of his 23-year tenure there he was SVP of programming, research, and content strategy – responsible for strategic programming decisions across multiple sports networks and platforms including FOX, FS1, FS2, and FOX Deportes. In that role, Crakes managed relationships with numerous content partners including the NFL, NASCAR, MLB, FIFA, USSF, MLS, UFC, Big Ten, Pac-12, Big East, UEFA, NHRA, and CONCACAF. While at FOX Sports, he also oversaw the Primary Research Group with numerous strategic landscape projects into the future of media consumption and content development.
After FOX Sports, Crakes spent two years as EVP of strategic insights and business operations for InVivo Media Group, a privately-held event management company featuring live music promotion and talent/commercial partnerships across the U.S. Latino & Latin American marketplaces. Currently, he is principal of Crakes Media, a strategic advisory focused on media landscape evolution, distribution strategy, programming rights negotiations and valuation, content creation, and business operations. His clients include media companies, sports leagues/teams, and investment firms/companies across media and finance. Crakes has also provided expert testimony concerning media in U.S. Federal Court, the Delaware Court of Chancery, and in arbitration proceedings for sports leagues and teams. In addition, he serves as a senior advisor and board member to several early and late-stage media ventures to include Sports Bubble, the National Ruby Football League, and the Women’s National Football Conference. Crakes is also a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve and a former paratrooper having served three years on active duty in the 82nd Airborne Division.
Jason Dachman, SVG, Editorial Director, U.S.; SVG Regional Sports Production Summit Program Director

Jason Dachman oversees all aspects of SVG’s North American editorial operations – including all news on sportsvideo.org, the daily SVG Insider newsletter, and SVG’s annual print publications – and is one of the primary contributors to SVG’s coverage of the sports-video-production industry. A member of the SVG team since 2009, Dachman also serves as program director for SVG’s Esports Production Forum, RSN Summit, Sports Content Management Forum, Sports Graphics Forum, and TranSPORT conference.
Prior to joining SVG, Dachman covered local sports for The Patriot Ledger in Quincy, MA, and served on the production staff of SiriusXM’s The Ron & Fez Show. He began his career in the Sports Information department at Northeastern University in Boston, where he earned a B.A. in media communications and cinema studies. A native of Denver, CO, Dachman currently resides in Queens, NY, with his wife Alyson, daughter June, and son Hank.
Devon Fox, NBC Sports Bay Area & California, Senior Director of Live Events & Special Projects

Devon Fox serves as the senior director of live events and special projects for the NBC Sports Regional Networks serving Northern California – NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California.
In this role, Fox oversees all areas of production for more than 600 games annually, including live coverage of the MLB’s San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics, NBA’s Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, and the NHL’s San Jose Sharks. She also serves on the NBA’s Broadcast Advisory Board.
Overall, Fox has spent 24 years in various production and operations positions for NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California. Previously, she served as senior director of newsroom operations for seven years, managing operations, finance, and talent for the networks’ studio programming, including pregame shows, postgame shows, and news programming. From 2000 to 2012, Fox was coordinating producer for live events.
A native of Sacramento, Fox is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.
Nick Garvin, Mobile TV Group, CEO

Nick Garvin is the CEO for Mobile TV Group (MTVG). This includes all strategic partnerships, management of all day-to-day operations for its mobile unit fleet covering over 4,000 live events annually, and its audio/video manufacturing facility called Colorado Studios. MTVG has led live 4K HDR productions in the U.S. covering the PGA Tour, NBA, NHL, UFC, college football, entertainment, and corporate events for many of the top Fortune 500 companies.
Garvin is also the founder of Stackup, an education technology company that uses artificial intelligence to deliver metrics on students reading and learning on the web to K-12 school districts around the United States. Stackup is among few certified Google partners, and his work on this technology put him into the Forbes 30 under 30 class of 2018.
Garvin holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the Eller College of Management, along with an executive education from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mat Hathaway, Diamond Sports Group, VP, Engineering

Mat Hathaway is a seasoned broadcast engineering professional, currently serving as the vice president of engineering for Diamond Sports. In this role, he oversees all broadcast, network, and systems infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and technological advancement across the organization. A key aspect of his leadership is a strong focus on team building, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Prior to becoming VP, engineering, Hathaway was the chief engineer of the South region at Diamond Sports, where he played a pivotal role during the Fox to Sinclair transition. His leadership and technical expertise were crucial in maintaining and enhancing broadcast quality during this significant period.
Before joining Diamond Sports, Hathaway spent six years as a senior media systems engineer at ESPN. During his tenure at ESPN, he was on the team that launched DC2, one of the very early fully IP production facilities. He also contributed to the launch of the SEC Network and was a key contributor to the development of a compressed media transport platform. This platform became the foundation for many other technologies advanced by ESPN, including REMI.
Hathaway is an alumnus of Georgia Tech, earning a B.S. in electrical engineering, and has dedicated his entire career to the television industry. He began his professional journey at In Touch Ministries, then later moved into a role as a systems integration engineer which provided a strong foundation in television engineering.
Travis Henderson, Utah Jazz, Senior Vice President of Broadcasting

Travis Henderson began his television career as a video intern with a production company while attending the University of Utah. He was a master control operator for KXIV-TV when Larry H. Miller bought the station and renamed it KJZZ-TV to air Utah Jazz games. He quickly became involved in the production of the University of Utah’s football and basketball games and later started producing the Utah Jazz.
Henderson has produced and directed television coverage for the Utah Jazz since the 1997-98 season and now oversees all Utah Jazz broadcasting (radio and TV), including all full- and part-time broadcast employees. He will also lead SEG Media’s coverage of Utah’s new franchise, beginning with its inaugural season this fall.
Henderson has served as a member of the NBA Broadcast Advisory Board, is an eleven-time Emmy Award winner producer and director, and was recognized at the 2017 NBA Summer Meetings as the first winner of the NBA’s Todd Harris Spirit Award recognizing the ultimate team player.
Henderson’s basketball directing credits include the World Feed coverage of the Olympic games in 2004 in Athens, the 2020 games in Tokyo, and the 2024 games in Paris this summer. He has also directed the World Feed coverage of every NBA All-Star game and the NBA Finals since 2008; and has directed NBA playoff games for TNT, College Football games for FS1 and Fox Sports Net, and NFL preseason games for the Houston Texans.
Henderson was born in Las Vegas, NV, and has spent most of his life residing in Utah.
Kristian Hernández, SVG, Senior Editor

Kristian Hernández is currently the senior editor of Sports Video Group. In his role, he is responsible for covering team-based and in-venue productions and various other sports technology topics within the industry. In addition, he is the program director for the annual SVG Venue Summit.
Before joining SVG, Hernández served as co-founder of CHC-TV, the first student-run television studio at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA. While at CHC, Hernández produced a daily sports show named “On the Hill with Hernández” — covering all men’s and women’s athletics for the college. Also, Hernández spearheaded the college’s newspaper, “The Griffin”, as its Sports Editor. Hernández graduated with a BA in Communications. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he currently lives in Philadelphia, PA.

Doug Johnson, MLB, SVP and Executive Producer, Local Media

Doug Johnson joined MLB as senior vice president and executive producer, local media in March of 2023 and is responsible for overseeing all games produced locally by MLB. A 27-time Emmy Award winner, Johnson has produced or directed over 2000+ events. He previously was at AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh where he was responsible for the day-to-day management and long-term planning for more than 250 live events each year. Johnson started his professional career in production at ABC Sports in New York where he worked events such as Monday Night Football including Super Bowl XXV; the PGA Tour including the U.S Open, British Open, and PGA Championship; and college football and basketball games.
Ken Kerschbaumer, SVG, Co-Executive Director, Editorial Services

Ken Kerschbaumer is co-executive director of editorial services for the Sports Video Group and SVG Europe. He was a co-founder of SVG along with Paul Gallo and Marty Porter in 2005 and has been writing about how sports networks and leagues use video and audio technology to deliver a quality TV experience since 1991. Kerschbaumer began his career in 1991 at Television Broadcast magazine before joining Cahners where he was founding editor of Digital Broadcasting magazine. In 2000, he joined Broadcasting & Cable magazine as senior editor of technology where he covered all aspects of broadcasting, cable, and internet content creation and distribution.
Caroline Klein, Smith Entertainment Group, Chief Communications Officer

Caroline Klein serves as chief communications officer for Smith Entertainment Group (SEG). She joined the organization as CCO of the Utah Jazz in August 2022. In this role, Klein’s responsibilities include driving the strategy behind the organization’s public relations, community relations, broadcasting, and streaming efforts, while also coordinating large-scale marketing initiatives through all the company’s platforms, encompassing the Utah Jazz NBA franchise; Utah’s newly-established NHL franchise; and Delta Center, the home arena for both teams. Other duties include government relations and corporate communications as a public-facing representative. In April 2024, Sports Business Journal named Klein to its 25th class of “Forty Under 40”, which recognizes leaders and influential executives in the sports industry. In 2023, Utah Business Magazine named her a “CXO of the Year” honoree for the impact she made on the Jazz organization in her first year.
Klein joined SEG after spending more than 15 years leading strategic communications experience efforts on domestic and international levels for various global and regional travel and hospitality brands including Preferred Travel Group and other boutique PR agencies in New York City and Chicago.
A native of Milwaukee, WI, she holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University and has traveled to more than 60 countries.
Kris Knief, Foley Entertainment Group, VP, Strategy and Innovation

Kris Knief is currently the vice president of strategy and innovation for the Foley Entertainment Group. His primary areas of focus are data/business analytics, technology solutions, strategic planning, merchandising, F&B operations, and new business ventures. Knief is a former specialist, strategic business ventures for the New York Yankees, along with stops at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; NBC Sports Group; Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment; and The Office of the Commissioner, Major League Baseball (MLB). He holds his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and an MBA from Syracuse University.
Jess Kowatch, Program Productions, EVP, Operations and COO

With over 15 years of experience managing projects, Jessica Kowatch has served with Program Productions since 2015. As a hard-working, multi-task titan who treats crews like family, some of her senior-level direction duties relate to client resource allocation and communication directives, new business development, national training initiatives, and assisting with labor union negotiations.
Kowatch also serves on the Technology Advisory Committee created to develop and implement technology advancements to the ProCrewz enterprise resource management system and mobile application.
Hailing from a proud Pittsburgh family, Kowatch cherishes traveling while working as a production manager and visiting events over the years, from the views at Kapalua on the Island of Maui in Hawaii to Sea Island, GA. The relationships and contacts made over the years proved invaluable as she continues to strengthen the company with her detail-oriented expertise.
Matt Krol, Altitude Sports & Entertainment, VP/GM/Executive Producer

Matthew Krol has been with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) since 2005 and was named as VP, General Manager, and Executive Producer of Altitude Sports Entertainment, KSE’s Denver-based regional sports network, in 2019. For two years prior to that, Krol was VP of KSE Digital and leading the Social group for the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Mammoth, and more. Krol has been working in television media since 1997, when he got his start in Green Bay, WI, before heading to Miami, FL and eventually the Denver, CO market.
Jamon Lomax, Canon, Senior Manager of Television Broadcast & Production Sales, U.S. and Latin American Markets

Jamon Lomax is senior manager of television broadcast and production sales for the U.S. and Latin American markets at Canon USA. He leads an experienced team of industry veterans focused on sales and support of their partners in all areas of television broadcasting, and live sports and entertainment production.
Lomax resides in the Chicagoland area, and is a graduate of North Central College, with a degree in broadcast communications. He has spent the last 23 years at Canon USA working in a variety of client facing roles focused on professional imaging product sales. Lomax’s time at Canon has allowed him to partner with, and support some of the most creative and influential people and companies in the world. As the broadcast landscape continues to evolve, he is confident that the Canon team will be there and ready to continue providing world class support for their partners.
Angus Mackay, Matrox Video, Product Marketing Manager

Angus Mackay’s professional achievements include proficiency in post-production for film, television, and media; experience as an in-house producer specializing in sales pitches and rapport-building; and roles in content production, product marketing, and customer relations with companies such as Autodesk and Avid. He has participated in numerous trade shows across continents. Additionally, Mackay pursued a mini-MBA at McGill University to enhance his expertise.
Larry Meyers, Pac-12 Networks, EVP, Content

Larry Meyers joined Pac-12 Networks in San Francisco as EVP, content in 2018 after serving as VP, content and executive producer for Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable) Regional Networks in Southern California serving that market with Lakers and Dodgers programming. At Pac-12, Meyers is responsible for the 850 live events plus extensive studio and shoulder content delivered via MVPD and authenticated TV Everywhere platforms, plus hundreds more of university-created streamed events available on the Pac-12 app and the Pac-12 Insider FAST channel. At Pac-12, Meyers integrated previously separate content creation areas, unifying event, studio, and feature/post-production, in addition to working very closely with the social and communication teams. While at Spectrum SportsNet, the networks garnered 26 team and individual LA area Emmy awards in their first four years from launch. Pac-12 Networks has received a numerous regional Emmys and SVG College awards during his tenure. Meyers also received Emmys for his work at the RSN in San Francisco and a national Emmy for his work covering the 1988 Seoul Olympics for NBC.
Previously, Meyers spent nine years starting at launch at Tennis Channel as the SVP of production and executive producer. In that role, he was responsible for the channel’s original programming, as well as national and international live events. Prior to that, Meyers spent seven years at Fox, working in Los Angeles and the Bay Area. He began his career in sports television in the 1980s working in TV trucks producing and directing regional and national live sports event programming. Over the years, Meyers transitioned to a production executive.
Brian Mitchell, Former Executive Producer of ATTSN Rocky Mountain

An executive producer at multiple RSNs, Brian Mitchell most recently was the EP at AT&T SportNet Rocky Mountain where he was in charge of all live event production including for the Colorado Rockies, Las Vegas Golden Knights, Utah Jazz, and Mountain West Conference college football and basketball. He oversaw all aspects of production for over 300 live events annually (MLB, NBA, NHL CFB, CBK) and managed a 20-person production and engineering staff.
Prior to his current role, Mitchell served as coordinating producer at Root Sports Southwest, executive producer at the Mtn. Sports Network, and director of broadcasting for the Denver Broncos & Empower Field at Mile High. He also served roles at Fox Sports Net Rocky Mountain and Fox Sports Net West.
Quinn Pacini, Scripps Sports, VP, Broadcast Operations

Quinn Pacini is vice president of Scripps Sports broadcast operations, responsible for Scripps’ live sports and sports-related content presentation. He is the primary lead with the company’s internal production team, local affiliates, talent, and production partners.
Pacini has been a committee member of Scripps Sports since it was announced in December 2022. He has led the efforts to launch and generate revenue as the official media rights holder of the Big Sky Conference (2022-present). He was previously vice president and general manager at KBZK in Bozeman, MT, and KXLF in Butte, MT.
From 2015 to 2022, Pacini was general manager of Learfield at Montana State, where he led the multimedia revenue, operations, and negotiations.
A.J. Ponsiglione, Spectrum SportsNet and SportsNet LA, Senior Coordinating Producer, Live Events and Special Projects

As senior coordinating producer, A.J. Ponsiglione oversees live events and special projects for Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum SportsNet LA. SportsNet LA serves as the television home of the Los Angeles Dodgers, while SportsNet is the broadcast partner of the Los Angeles Lakers and LA Sparks, and serves as the official TV home of the CIF High School State Championships. Prior to his current role, Ponsiglione served as coordinating producer for studio programming, helping launch SportsNet in 2012, and later overseeing the launch of SportsNet LA in 2014. His sports production experience also includes nearly four years as coordinating producer at ESPN where he helped launch and oversee the Los Angeles based edition of SportsCenter. Ponsiglione started his career as a sports producer in 1997 at KCBS/KCAL in Los Angeles, CA.
Matt Sandulli, SNY, VP, Live Game/Long-Form Production

Matt Sandulli, SNY’s vice president of live game and long form production, joined the company in 2022. He is responsible for event coverage of New York Mets baseball and UConn Women’s basketball, and has oversight for 3rd party productions of various college sports and minor league baseball. Sandulli oversees all strategy, planning, and execution of long form original content being produced by and for the network.
Sandulli spent 32+ years at ESPN before joining SNY. As a senior coordinating producer, he had oversight of Major League Baseball, college baseball, Little League baseball, and boxing. Sandulli had direct involvement in the launching of ESPN’s Remi productions and spent time supervising the ESPN3D product. He was previously responsible for in game studio production supporting all college sports, MLB, NFL, NHL, and WNBA.
Mike Schabel, Kiswe, COO

Mike Schabel is currently the chief operations officer of Kiswe, a pioneer in interactive-social digital video experiences. Schabel started his career at Bell Labs after receiving a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, and then focused his career around building global businesses in new and emerging markets including the Internet of Things, wireless small cells, wireless analytics, and mobile soft-switches. He currently is focused on building solutions that address the shifting viewing behaviors around rights-based media and is leading Kiswe’s growth in sports-related direct-to-consumer products. Schabel leverages his technical breadth, his engaging customer-focused leadership style, and his ability to confidently lead in highly uncertain and developing market conditions as part of his formula for creating successful businesses. He believes in developing world-class teams and building extraordinary industry partnerships as the key ingredient for sustained business performance and market leadership.
Jon Slobotkin, NBC Sports Regional Networks SVP, Content and Live Programming

Jon Slobotkin has served as senior vice president of content and live programming for NBC Sports Regional Networks since 2017. In this role he is responsible for all content and live production, which includes more than 1,500 games annually, and leads content and production strategy and execution across platforms.
Prior to his current role, Slobotkin served as vice president and executive producer of live events, where he oversaw all aspects of live event coverage for the NBC Regional Sports Networks. He also served as a live event producer at the 2016 Rio Olympics, overseeing women’s basketball.
Previously, Slobotkin worked as a producer for Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, primarily covering the Philadelphia Phillies. Before SportsNet Philadelphia, he was a producer for 15 years at PRISM, one of the country’s first-ever regional sports networks.
Slobotkin is a graduate of Temple University and is a member of its Klein College of Media and Communication Hall of Fame.
Mike Webb, YES Network, VP, Broadcast Operations and Engineering

Mike Webb, a 25-time Emmy Award-winner who has been with YES since before its March 2002 launch, is the vice president of broadcast operations and engineering at the YES Network. Webb oversees long-range planning, field and studio operations, and engineering at YES.
The YES Network, the most-watched regional sports network in the country 18 of the last 21 years, is the exclusive regional television home of the 27-time World Champion New York Yankees, the Brooklyn Nets, and the New York Liberty. The network has won 146 New York Emmy Awards since its 2002 launch.
Upon joining the YES Network in November 2001 as manager of broadcast Operations, Webb researched and contracted for network origination and studio services, satellite services, mobile unit vendors, and post-production facilities, and hired the network’s engineering and support staff. He was promoted to director, studio and production planning in 2005, to senior director, broadcast operations in 2011 and to his current title in 2013.
Webb has played a major role in all of YES’ technical and production innovations over the years, including the design and building of all of the network’s new production and satellite trucks; the building out of YES’ HD production and master control facilities; the frequent introduction of state-of-the-art cameras, replay machines and other equipment; and the updating of YES’ control rooms, studios, and edit rooms at the network’s Stamford, CT, production facilities.
He also played a major role in the development and March 2021 launch of the authenticated YES App (which quickly became the #1 free sports app in the Apple App Store) and, in March 2023, the launch of YES’ direct-to-consumer subscription offering that provides fans in YES’ regional coverage territory an option to purchase a direct subscription to YES through the YES App.
Prior to joining the YES Network, Webb spent 20 years working in various capacities at the ABC Television Network. He had most recently been a production executive for ABC Sports, working on such franchises as Wide World of Sports and College Football Scoreboard Show, as well as the network’s golf and figure skating coverage. Webb managed production of four U.S. Open Golf Championships, as well as ABC Sports’ Super Bowl XXXVI Pre-Game Show.
Webb’s production credits at ABC Sports include three Super Bowl Pre-Game Shows, two World Series, one MLB National League Championship Series, four New York City Marathons, ABC Monday Night Football, ABC College Football, the Kentucky Derby, and the Indianapolis 500. He joined ABC in 1982, working in the finance department.
